
Syria’s New Administration: Ministerial Roles Defined

Sources within the interim administration in Syria have confirmed that the distribution of duties in the new administration has been mostly finalized. However, it has been noted that new ministries can still be established and appointments can be made based on the needs of the administration.
The current task distribution within the administration is as follows:
– Ahmed Shara as the leader of the administration
– Mohammed al-Bashir as the Prime Minister
– Esaad Hasan Shaybani as the Minister of Foreign Affairs
– Mohammed Abdurrahman as the Minister of Internal Affairs
– Shadi al-Waysi as the Minister of Justice
– Mohammed Yaqub al-Omar as the Minister of Information
– Mahir Shara as the Minister of Health
– Muhammad Taha al-Ahmed as the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation
– Nezir Muhammad al-Qadiri as the Minister of Education and Training
– Muhammad Abdurrahman Muslim as the Minister of Local Administrations and Services
– Husam Hajj Hussein as the Minister of Foundations
– Abdulmunim Abdulhafez as the Minister of Higher Education
– Basil Abdulaziz as the Minister of Economy and Trade
– Aisha al-Dibs as the head of the Women’s Affairs Office.
