Communal Democracy Party Announces Candidate for Parliamentary By-Election
The Communal Democracy Party (TDP) has officially unveiled its candidate for the upcoming parliamentary by-election, set to be held on June 25th. Tacan Reynar, a former senior judge and lawyer, was introduced at a promotional event in Central Nicosia, along with other TDP members.
TDP Chairman Mine Atlı presented Reynar to the public, stating the party’s slogan will be “Our Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” The party is aiming to turn the Assembly into a field of struggle and raise the voice of society.
Atlı expressed the party’s commitment to bringing their views to the political agenda of the country and to lead the nation out of the darkness it has sunk into. Reynar also addressed the public, discussing the developments in the country over the past few years and why he decided to run for office.
Reynar acknowledged that there is a lack of trust in the country and that the minimum wage is below the hunger limit. He further responded to criticisms about how a single seat could make a change, stating that if society’s true will emerges, it can bring change even with only one seat.
The TDP hopes to bring change and create a better future for Cyprus. The upcoming by-election will be a significant step towards that goal.
