President Ersin Tatar Pays Respect to Families of Martyrs
President Ersin Tatar recently visited the families of Martyr Mehmet Salih and Martyr Ahmet Abdullah to pay his respects. During the visits, Tatar emphasized the significant role that the martyrs played in the Turkish Cypriots’ fight for freedom and the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
In his speech, President Tatar expressed gratitude to the martyrs for their sacrifices, stating that the Turkish Cypriots owe their peace, tranquility, and security to the martyrs. He stressed the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by the martyrs, stating, “We do not forget our martyrs and do not let them be forgotten.”

He reassured them that as a state, it is their duty to support and stand by the families of the martyrs. Tatar concluded his visit by offering prayers for the martyrs and wishing the families patience and strength.
