TBMM delegation meets with Chinese technology leaders
A delegation from the Turkish Grand National Assembly recently attended official meetings in Shenzhen and Dongguan, China. The delegation, led by Commission Chairman Mustafa Varank, included Deputy Chairman Şahin Tin, Commission Spokesperson Cevahir Uzkurt, and several other members. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for cooperation with China in the fields of technology and industry.
During the meetings, discussions were held on the potential for collaboration in production technologies and industrial development. Mustafa Varank, providing insights into the visit, mentioned that the delegation was invited by China to engage with members of parliament from various political parties. The delegation had the opportunity to visit different companies in Shenzhen, known as China’s Silicon Valley, and interact with regional authorities.
One of the highlights of the visit was the delegation’s meeting with Huawei, a prominent technology company. The discussions focused on topics such as autonomous driving, electric vehicles, renewable energy, and storage technologies. Varank emphasized the importance of technology transfer and cooperation in these areas for both Turkey and China.
The visit concluded with a mutual agreement to enhance technology transfer and information sharing between Turkey and China. It was highlighted that such exchanges would strengthen technological cooperation and pave the way for innovative projects in the future.
