Teacher Cafer Succumbs to Injuries from Accident After 15-Day Battle
A tragic accident occurred on the Kayseri-Ankara road on October 9, resulting in the loss of lives and injuries to several individuals. The incident took place when teachers Oğuz Metin, Cafer Yıldız, Ömer Çelen, and Hasan Kale were heading home from a school in Mahzemin District. As they waited at a bus stop, Yahya Karaca, a local resident, offered them a ride in his light commercial vehicle. Unfortunately, a collision occurred at an intersection with another vehicle, resulting in a fatal accident.
The impact of the crash was severe, causing the truck involved to veer off into a beet field. Emergency services, including the gendarmerie, police, and medical teams, responded swiftly to the scene. Despite their efforts, Hasan Kale and Yahya Karaca succumbed to their injuries. Several others were injured and rushed to Kayseri City Hospital for treatment.
Sadly, the tragedy did not end with the initial accident. Cafer Yıldız, one of the injured teachers, fought for his life for 15 days before ultimately losing the battle. His body was transferred to the morgue for autopsy, and he will be laid to rest following a funeral prayer.
This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and caution while driving. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
