Teachers and Students Suffer Loss

Teacher Moods, an online education platform promising quality education at affordable prices, is currently under fire for alleged fraud against teachers and students. The platform, which aimed to provide hope for financially disadvantaged students, has been accused of not paying salaries to teachers and failing to deliver promised courses to paying students.

Teachers like Aleyna Erdinç and Semra Taşova have come forward with claims of being defrauded by the platform. Erdinç, who worked as a paid teacher for Teacher Moods, stated that despite an agreement for payment, she did not receive her salary after months of teaching. Taşova also filed a criminal complaint after not receiving a month’s salary.

Furthermore, students and parents have reported similar experiences of being scammed by Teacher Moods. Saddet Baloğlu, a parent who paid a significant sum for her child to receive lessons on the platform, claimed that promised refunds were not given despite multiple requests.

Founder Öznur Gündüz has denied the allegations, attributing any delays to bank issues. However, the number of complaints and victims continues to rise, with claims totaling up to 300 thousand TL in fraud.

It is essential for students and teachers to be cautious when engaging with online education platforms and to thoroughly research the credibility of such platforms before making any payments or commitments. Instances like this serve as a reminder of the importance of due diligence when it comes to online transactions and partnerships.
