Teams Respond to Snowed-In Patient in Kastamonu Village

95-year-old Şaban Güner, a resident of Muratbaşı village in the Keti district of Kastamonu, found himself in a precarious situation due to heavy snowfall. Stranded about 20 kilometers away from the main road, Güner was in need of urgent assistance. Thankfully, help was just a phone call away as he reached out to the 112 Emergency Call Center for help.

Upon receiving the distress call, the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency, along with the National Medical Rescue Team, quickly mobilized to assist Güner. Special Provincial Administration teams, equipped with a Grader to clear the snow-covered village road, were deployed to the scene. Additionally, AFAD and UMKE teams were dispatched to locate the elderly man.

After braving the harsh weather conditions, the rescue teams successfully reached Güner’s residence and provided the necessary medical assistance. With the road finally cleared, the patient was safely transferred to an ambulance and taken to the hospital for further treatment.
