Teknofest 2025 Drone Championship Kicks Off Tomorrow at TRNC – BRTK

The first stage of the Teknofest Drone Championship is set to take place tomorrow and on 27 April at the Neu Event Park. Organized by STM, the championship will see competitors racing with FPV-system racing drones.
The drones used in the competition will have specific technical requirements, including a maximum battery voltage of 6S (22.2V) and a carbon fiber frame. Only drones with analog video transmission systems will be allowed to participate, with HD systems prohibited.
To prevent frequency conflicts, pilots will compete at designated VTX frequencies with limited output power of 25 MW. Competitors will have to prepare their drones with all necessary components before each race, ensuring they meet the technical requirements set by the organization.
Safety is a top priority, and drones deemed to pose a security risk or not in compliance with the rules will not be allowed to compete. All pilots must adhere to the technical and safety regulations established by the competition.
The top-ranking competitors will have the opportunity to represent Turkey in the international arena, with qualifying rounds determining the finalists. The winner of the championship will earn the right to compete in the World Drone Cup, representing Turkey on a global scale.
With 182 teams initially applying and 32 teams successfully completing the qualifying process, the competition is set to be fierce. Young technology enthusiasts from 14 provinces in Turkey will showcase their skills in the Drone Championship.
Prizes await the top three winners, with the first-place winner receiving 30,000 pounds, the second-place winner receiving 20,000 pounds, and the third-place winner receiving 10,000 pounds in prize money. Excitement is building as the Teknofest Drone Championship kicks off, showcasing the talent and innovation of Turkey’s drone racing community.
