Teknofest TRNC: A Celebration of Innovation and Technology
The much-anticipated Teknofest, the Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), has successfully concluded after four exciting days. Organized under the auspices of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the event took place at the former Ercan Airport, drawing crowds from near and far.
Visitors flocked to the festival, creating long queues at the entrances, eager to explore the innovations and exhibits on display. The roads leading to Ercan Airport experienced heavy traffic as families, especially children, gathered to celebrate technology. Many young attendees took the opportunity to capture memories with photos in front of various technology stands, marking a special day filled with learning and inspiration.
Throughout the festival, BRT (BRTK) actively covered the events, providing viewers with a comprehensive look at the activities happening on-site. In collaboration with TRT, the state broadcaster, the two media organizations worked together to bring the excitement of Teknofest TRNC to screens around the region, showcasing not only the technological advancements but also highlighting important visits, including those from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
With the festival’s closing day marking the culmination of a successful event, Turkish Assistant President Cevdet Yilmaz addressed the audience, sharing insights from TRNC contacts and conveying the festival’s significance. The collaborative efforts of TRT were highly appreciated, with BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt expressing gratitude for their partnership in making Teknofest a memorable experience.
