TEM Road Closed to Traffic as Truck Overturns at Last Minute
A collision between a TIR and a truck on the TEM Highway Selimpaşa Ankara direction has led to the closure of the road to traffic. The truck was reportedly transporting a lighter fluid cylinder at the time of the accident. Emergency teams are currently working at the scene to resolve the situation.
In another unfortunate incident, a motorcycle driver in Kartepe, Kocaeli, fell on the TEM Highway and collided with the barriers. Despite all the efforts at the hospital, the driver, identified as Ali Karaali, could not be saved.
On a different note, an accident in Ordu resulted in the tragic deaths of Saniye Sarıcı, aged 85, and Arifiye Gelen, aged 68. The two individuals lost their lives in a collision between two cars at an intersection. The incident occurred after they returned from a wedding. The driver of one of the vehicles, Tayfur Dündar, aged 45, was arrested as it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Similarly, in Manavgat, a motorcycle rider collided with the mirror of a pickup truck and was subsequently dragged approximately 50 meters under an oncoming car. The chain reaction accident resulted in severe injuries to the motorcycle rider, who unfortunately did not survive.
These series of accidents serve as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations.
