Terrorists in Red and Grey Categories Eliminated
Four terrorists who were reportedly planning an attack and had crossed the border into Turkey from Iraq via a paramotor in the Düğün Dağı area of Uludere district in Şırnak have been neutralized. The Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, made the announcement on social media confirming the identities of the four terrorists.
Through fingerprint matching and DNA tests conducted by the Van Gendarmerie Criminal Laboratory Directorate, it was revealed that the terrorists were Veysel Sevinç, known as “Serhat Patnos”, who was in the “red” category on the Ministry of Interior’s Wanted Terrorists list, as well as Reşit Çevik, known as “Hebat”, Barış Kartal, and Serhat Güzel, who were in the “grey” category.
The terrorists were reportedly involved in a total of 22 incidents, resulting in the martyrdom of 13 security personnel and injuries to 39 security personnel and 6 civilians.
This successful operation by security forces highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety and security of the region. The neutralization of these dangerous individuals is a significant achievement in the fight against terrorism in the area.
