Blue Vatan’s steel sword will now hit under the sea
President of the Presidential Defense Industry, Dr. Haluk Görgün, announced a significant development in Turkey’s defense capabilities. In a recent social media post, he stated that Blue Vatan’s steel sword hawk will now be able to hit targets under the seas.
This new capability involves shooting guided bullets under the water, a technology possessed by only a few countries in the world. The successful test firing of the Atmaca missile from a submarine demonstrates Turkey’s advancements in underwater warfare.
Dr. Haluk Görgün expressed his gratitude to the Navy Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Naval Forces, as well as the personnel of the Navy Command, Roketsan, Presidency, engineers, technicians, and all subcontractors involved in this achievement. He emphasized that the Turkish Defense Industry is striving for full independence in all domains – on land, in the air, and at sea.
The Ministry of Defense (MSB) also commended the heroes of the defense industry for strengthening the power of the Turkish Navy. The domestically produced hawk missile, developed by Roketsan, marks a significant milestone in enhancing Turkey’s naval capabilities.
