The Careless Driver’s Horrifying Experience
Driver Crashes into ATM Machine and Traffic Sign in Iskele Ercan
In an unfortunate incident on the İskele Ercan main road, a driver identified as Mehmet CANBAZ crashed into an ATM machine and a traffic sign. According to the Police Press Officer, the incident occurred around 4:00 pm when CANBAZ was driving his vehicle, plated with PC 733, from Nicosia to Iskele.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver appeared to be careless and veered off the road on the left side when he reached Serdarlı village Ejder Petrol. The vehicle collided with the ATM machine, which belonged to a bank, and subsequently hit a traffic sign.
The impact of the crash caused the ATM machine to be pushed backward, resulting in it falling onto three flag poles of the nearby petrol station. Fortunately, the driver only sustained minor injuries and was treated at the Famagusta State Hospital emergency service. After receiving first aid treatment, he was discharged.
The police have initiated an investigation into the accident and are working to determine the exact cause of the crash. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
