The Changing Color of Saranlı Stream
The color of Saranlı Stream in Kırklareli’s Lüleburgaz district has raised concerns among residents as it has changed due to pollution. This is not the first time that the stream has faced environmental issues, as there were also fish deaths reported last year.
A foul smell has started to emanate from the Saranlı Stream, which now flows brown as it passes through the Yıldırım District of Kırklareli’s Lüleburgaz district. Additionally, foam has been observed in certain parts of the stream, further indicating pollution levels.
Following complaints from local citizens, teams from the Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, as well as the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, were dispatched to investigate the area. The teams conducted examinations of the stream and collected water samples for further analysis.
It is crucial to address the pollution in Saranlı Stream to prevent any further harm to the ecosystem and wildlife. Authorities are working to identify the source of pollution and take necessary measures to protect the environment and the residents of the surrounding area. Efforts are underway to prevent a repeat of the fish deaths that occurred in the stream last year.
