The Devastating Impact of Israeli Attacks on Gaza’s Schools

Israel’s Attacks Damage Most Schools in Gaza, United Nations Aid and Palestinian Refugees Report

The United Nations Aid and Palestinian Refugees in the Near East have reported that most of the schools in Gaza have been damaged due to Israeli attacks. According to a statement from the social media account of the Authority Agency (UNRWA), Israel’s attacks have directly targeted Gaza since October 7, resulting in damage to 71 percent of schools in the region.

It has been revealed that a staggering 88 percent of schools in Gaza were damaged as a result of Israeli attacks. Out of a total of 564 schools in Gaza, 499 of them suffered damage due to these attacks. Shockingly, 162 of the schools damaged were under the supervision of UNRWA.

As a consequence of the attacks, children in Gaza have been forced to endure displacement for 1.5 years and have been deprived of their right to education. The Israeli army has been targeting schools, including those operated by UNRWA, where a large number of Palestinians, mostly displaced since the attacks began on October 7, 2023, have sought refuge.

The situation in Gaza remains dire as the attacks continue to ravage the education system and disrupt the lives of innocent children. The international community is urged to step in and take action to protect the rights and well-being of all individuals affected by the ongoing conflict in the region.
