The Era of Dervişoğlu in İYİ Party
The İYİ Party Elects New Group Deputy Chairmen
Following the congress of the İYİ Party, elections were held to fill the two vacant group deputy chair seats. Balıkesir Deputy Turhan Çömez and Istanbul Deputy Buğra Kavuncu were elected as the new group deputy chairmen.
The leadership of Meral Akşener in the İYİ Party has come to an end, and the era of Müsavat Dervişoğlu has begun. Dervişoğlu officially took over as the chairman after receiving his certificate of registration at the 5th Extraordinary Congress. Upon assuming his new role, Dervişoğlu appointed the first members of his team.
All eyes within the İYİ Party were on the election for the group deputy chairman position. With the appointment of Dervişoğlu as chairman, a vacancy was created in the group vice chairman seat, leading Erhan Usta to resign from his position as group deputy chairman due to Koray Aydın’s failure to be elected at the congress.
During a closed group meeting of the İYİ Party, a unanimous decision was reached in the election of the two candidates. Turhan Çömez and Buğra Kavuncu will now represent the party in the parliament.
Following the election of the group deputy chairmen, Dervişoğlu met with the presidential council. Additionally, Dervişoğlu is scheduled to address MPs from the group podium for the first time on Wednesday. The İYİ Party continues its transition under the leadership of Müsavat Dervişoğlu, as they move forward with their new team of leaders.
