Prime Minister Ünal Üstel Visits Arasta and Lokmacı
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recently paid a visit to Arasta and Lokmacı where he engaged with local tradesmen and discussed the ongoing issues related to the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus’ (GCASC) attempts to restrict tourist access to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
During his visit, Üstel highlighted the challenges faced by local businesses in Arasta due to the GCASC’s efforts to limit the flow of tourists across the Green Line. He emphasized the importance of international observers, including the European Union, in closely monitoring the situation and understanding the unjust restrictions imposed by the Greek Cypriot leadership.
By shedding light on the obstacles hindering cross-border trade and tourism, Üstel called for a fair and unbiased assessment of the situation, urging the world to recognize the rights of TRNC and the unjust actions of the GCASC.
