
The Hunting Circular Takes Effect with the Season

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, along with Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, made an appearance at the 2024-2025 Fisheries Hunting Season Opening Ceremony in Yenikapı, joined by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the ceremony, Minister Yumaklı emphasized the Ministry’s unwavering support for fishermen, stating that they have worked closely with the fishing community to shape the future of the sector. He mentioned that by collaborating with fishermen, academics, and sector representatives, they have set a new course for fishing, focusing on ensuring sustainable earnings and the preservation of marine resources.
Minister Yumaklı also announced the implementation of a new fishing circular, developed in consultation with the industry and experts, which is set to regulate fishing activities for the next four years. He expressed his hopes for the success of the Fishing Circular and its positive impact on the fishing sector.
Addressing the importance of planned production in agriculture, Minister Yumaklı highlighted the government’s initiatives in aquaculture, animal, and plant production. He stressed the significance of long-term sustainability in these sectors, aiming to secure a prosperous future for fishermen and agricultural workers.
