Producers Urged to Check Grain Areas for Fungal Leaf Spot Diseases
The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has issued a warning to producers, urging them to check the grain areas they plant for fungal leaf spot diseases.
In a recent statement, the Ministry highlighted the observation of fungal leaf spot diseases in grain cultivated lands, particularly in regions with excessive rainfall. This is attributed to air temperatures and humidity above seasonal norms.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of taking into consideration the risk of existing diseases spreading due to climatic conditions, which may lead to losses in the stalk and grain harvest. Producers are urged to control the grain areas where they plant in order to mitigate potential losses.
Furthermore, the Ministry advised producers to heed warnings and take necessary precautions. In the event of the detection of diseases, pests, and weeds, the Ministry recommended following the Plant Protection Products recommendation lists for necessary pesticides, which can be found on the official website of the Department of Agriculture “tarimdairesi.gov.ct.tr”. Producers are urged to pay attention to the warnings in the recommendation lists in order to protect their crops.
