The International Forum on Peace and Development through Interrelation of Times and Civilizations
The International Forum “The Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development” was recently held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The forum, chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, brought together several world leaders and dignitaries from countries such as Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The event, which took place on October 11, 2024, was a part of the larger program commemorating the 300th anniversary of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher, Magtymguly Fragi. The forum aimed to highlight the importance of unity, peace, and harmony in fostering development and progress across different civilizations and eras.
During the forum, participants spoke about the significant contributions of Magtymguly Fragi to Turkmen language and literature, emphasizing his timeless message of unity and cohesion. President Berdimuhamedov also announced the decision to award participating heads of state with the anniversary medal “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” in honor of the poet’s legacy.
