Inviting the dragon into the house involves opening the windows and adding flower pots with beautiful plants to the windowsills as well as placing a coin under each plate on the New Year’s table. Candles are also recommended to attract the Dragon, who loves the flame of fire.

Lastly, it is advised to avoid sadness on New Year’s Eve, as tears and sadness on the eve of the holiday are thought to return in the coming year. Instead, the holiday should be celebrated with joy and love.
