The Moral of the Story: Deception in Planning Without Reliable Data
The Central Executive Organ Member of the People’s Party (HP) emphasized the importance of more discreet and people-centric policies in light of the current plans and international relations in the country. In a statement, Moral highlighted the uncertainties in the global landscape, including sudden spikes in oil prices, disruptions in the food supply chain, and ongoing crises such as the Ukraine-Russia War, which could impact any prognostications and strategies.
Moral underscored the rapidly changing nature of the world order and the challenges posed by the pandemics and political upheavals on international relations. He cautioned that these uncertainties could also reverberate at the local level and affect domestic plans. Moral also raised concerns about the reliability of data in countries where different authorities present conflicting figures, leading to doubts about the accuracy of projections and plans.
Reflecting on the past 28 years and comparing it to the current 5th plan, Moral expressed skepticism about the effectiveness and success of previous plans. He suggested that planning without reliable data is akin to deceiving oneself. As uncertainties persist in the global and local spheres, Moral advocated for a more cautious and people-oriented approach to policy-making.
