HOW MANY LAMPS ARE THERE?
During the reign of Ottoman Sultan Selim II (1566-1574), these nights were called kandil nights because they were celebrated by lighting mosques and lighting lamps on minarets. These are Mevlid, Regaib, Miraj, Berat and Kadir nights.
