The Unexpected Encounter at Sea: Some Flee, Some Dive In
The hot and humid weather in Antalya continues to be effective as August comes to an end. With air temperatures reaching 32 degrees and humidity levels at 68 percent, many citizens took advantage of the warm weather by flocking to Konyaaltı beach. Despite it being a weekday, the beach was filled with people either swimming in the sea or sunbathing on the sandy shores.
However, the citizens at Konyaaltı beach encountered a surprise when a sudden regional rainfall occurred at noon. Some hastily packed their belongings and left the beach, while others braved the rain and continued swimming without a care in the world. Luckily, the rain was short-lived, and the sun reappeared, allowing everyone to continue enjoying the sea.
One visitor, Oğuzhan Keskinbalta, who traveled 800 kilometers from Sivas to Antalya for a holiday, shared his experience of getting caught in the rain. Despite the unforeseen weather, he remained determined to enjoy his time at the beach. He mentioned, “We came here from Sivas to go into the sea once a year, and we got caught in the rain when it rained.” It was also noted that one citizen continued to sleep wrapped in a sheet during the rain, unfazed by the weather.
As the summer days in Antalya continue to offer both sunshine and rain showers, citizens are reminded to be prepared for any weather changes while enjoying the beautiful beaches and warm sea temperatures.
