The Villa Theft: Wheelbarrow Bandit Makes Off with 5 Million TL Safe
A daring robbery took place in the İnkaya District of Osmangazi on November 14th. The suspect, who arrived at a villa on İçmeler Street with a wheelbarrow on his back, broke into the home and stole a safe containing jewelry worth 5 million TL. The incident occurred at around 06:00, when the villa, belonging to an individual identified as YRÜ, was unoccupied.
Following the robbery, Osmangazi Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau teams initiated an investigation. After reviewing security camera footage, they identified the suspect as BA, who was seen leaving the scene in a taxi from Doburca Street while wearing a ski mask. After a week of intense effort, law enforcement officials were able to apprehend BA at his residence. During a search of his home, they recovered the stolen jewelry and also found a spare key to YRÜ’s jeep in his possession.
At the present time, legal proceedings against BA are ongoing. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of home security and vigilance in the face of criminal activity.
