Thrace Leads Exports in the First Month of the New Year
In the first month of the new year, Thrace has emerged as a prominent region in terms of exports, according to data compiled by the AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters Assembly. The region saw significant exports in iron and non-iron metals, cereals, pulses, oil seeds and products, as well as in the aquaculture sectors.
Kırklareli and Edirne were the top exporting provinces in Thrace, with exports totaling $138,940,570. Tekirdağ, with its more advanced industry, played a key role in driving the region’s exports.
Kirklareli followed closely behind, with exports amounting to $9,902,040, while Edirne recorded $7,016,420 in exports, securing the second and third positions in the region, respectively.
The most exported sectors in Tekirdağ were iron and non-iron metals, while Kırklareli excelled in cereals, pulses, oil seeds, and products. Edirne, on the other hand, saw significant exports in the aquaculture and animal products sectors.
Overall, Thrace has shown strong export performance in the beginning of the new year, highlighting the region’s competitiveness and potential in various industries.
