“Three Arrested in Istanbul for Running Fake Document Scheme”
Police in Istanbul have arrested three individuals in connection with the production of fake passports, visa leaves, and identity cards of various countries. The operation was carried out by the Police Department of Combating Immigrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Office after a tip-off that fake passports were being produced in the area. After catching the first suspect, the police went on to find a workshop in the Fatih district where the fake documents were being produced. The police arrested MA, BA, and RB and seized a large quantity of illegal documents. The suspects were transferred to the courthouse after their police procedures, with HMH being released on condition of judicial control. The police are stepping up their efforts to catch individuals involved in the forgery of official documents, and more arrests are expected.
