Three Injured in Gümüşhane Traffic Accident

Three people were injured in a traffic accident in Gümüşhane when a car crashed into a retaining wall in the Tekke Town of the province. The driver, Mahmut Ergören, along with Mehmet Dönekli and his daughter Melisa Dönekli, were all hurt in the crash.

According to reports, the incident took place in the morning hours as Mahmut Ergören was driving from Bayburt to Gümüşhane. He lost control of the vehicle at the entrance to Tekke Town, causing the car to collide with a retaining wall before skidding onto the road. Emergency services, including 112 health teams, gendarmerie, and police, quickly responded to the scene.

After receiving initial treatment from the emergency health teams, the injured individuals were transported to Gümüşhane State Hospital. Mehmet Dönekli was later transferred to Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) Faculty of Medicine Farabi Hospital for further medical attention. Reports indicate that Mehmet Dönekli was in the city to help his daughter Melisa, who had been accepted to Gümüşhane University, settle into a dormitory.
