Mongolian Marathoners Qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics
The final qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic marathon recently took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Mongolian athletes have shown impressive results. G.Khishigsaikhan, an international sport master, secured the 4th place with a time of 2:28:48 hours, while B.Ser-Od, an Honored athlete of Mongolia, finished in 14th place with a time of 2:19:25 hours.
B.Ser-Od has officially qualified to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics after ranking 80th in the International Association of Athletics Federations. His outstanding performances in the Hofu Marathon and Osaka Marathon, where he ran times of 2:10:11 and 2:10:10 respectively, have earned him this opportunity. This will mark his sixth appearance at the Olympic Games.
Additionally, G.Khishigsaikhan secured his spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics by finishing 8th in the Tokyo Marathons held on March 3. Another Mongolian athlete, B.Munkhzaya, qualified for the Olympics by placing in the top 10 in the Seoul marathons held on March 18.
With a total of five Mongolian marathoners aiming to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics, the final list of athletes who will compete in the prestigious event will be confirmed and announced by the International Athletics Federation on April 12.
