
Tipioğlu, GNAT Security and Intelligence Commission Chairman, Discusses Turkish State’s Monitoring of TRNC and Turkish Cypriots

Veysel Tipioğlu, Chairman of the GNAT Security and Intelligence Commission, appeared on the 18th Hour program on BRT to discuss the latest developments in TRNC. During the program, Tipioğlu expressed his warm greetings to President Erdogan and emphasized Turkey’s unwavering support for the Turkish Cypriot people.
Highlighting the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue, Tipioğlu mentioned that their aim is to enhance TRNC’s recognition on the international stage. He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to advocating for the rightful cause of Turkish Cypriots, citing President Erdogan’s recent statement at the UN General Assembly.
In addressing the issue of armament in Southern Cyprus, Tipioğlu emphasized the need for good neighborly relations and urged for conflict resolution through international law. He warned of the potential consequences of a hot conflict in the region, emphasizing the shared rights of Turkish Cypriots in the seas.
Discussing the visit of Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, to TRNC, Tipioğlu criticized Southern Cyprus for sabotaging constructive initiatives. He emphasized the Turkish state’s vigilance in monitoring developments in TRNC and reiterated its unwavering support for the Turkish Cypriot people.
The Turkish Cypriot community continues to face challenges, but with strong advocacy and support from Turkey, it aims to secure its rightful place in the international community.
