Tips for Performing Friday Prayer: Diyanet Guidelines and Intention Techniques.

Diyanet TV, the channel of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, recently provided detailed information on how to perform the Friday prayer. For those who want to pray, it is essential to know how to perform this prayer correctly. Here is all the information that was provided on Diyanet TV.
The first sunnah of the four-rak’ah Friday prayer is to be performed when the noon call to prayer is recited. While intending, it should be said, “I intend to perform the first sunnah of the Friday Prayer for the sake of Allah”. This prayer is to be performed like the first sunnah of the noon prayer. In the first rak’ah, Subhaneke is recited first, then the Euzu Basmalah is drawn. In all rak’ahs, Fatiha and zamm-ı duration are recited. Etteahiyyatu is to be read in the first sitting only.
In the last sitting, Etteahiyyatu, Allahumma Salli, Allahumme Barik, Rabbena prayers are to be read. Then, the second adhan is recited inside the mosque, and the Imam ascends the pulpit to deliver the sermon. The sermon is read, and it is makruh tahrimen for the congregation to pray and speak while it is being read. While the master hatîb is praying, the congregation should not say âmîn out loud, instead it is called silent from within.
Everything that is harâm to do while performing salat is also harâm while listening to a sermon. After the sermon is read, the muezzin brings the iqama. Then, two rak’ahs of Friday prayer are to be made obligatory with the congregation. This prayer is to be performed just like the fard of the morning prayer. The intention is as follows: “I intended to perform the fard of the Friday prayer for the sake of Allah, and I followed the imam who was ready”. Then, the last sunnah of the four rak’ahs, the intention is to be made as follows: “I intend to perform the last sunnah of the Friday prayer for the sake of Allah”. In this sunnah, it is performed just like the first sunnah. Thus, the Friday prayer is performed together with its fard and sunnah.
After the last sunnah, four more rak’ahs of prayer are to be performed with the intention of zuhr-i-ahir. When making intentions, it should be said: “For the sake of Allah, I have intended for the last fard of the noon prayer, whose tone is on me but still does not let me down”. If the intention is made in this way, if the Friday prayer conditions of that day are not accepted due to a deficiency, the noon prayer will be performed. If it is accepted, it is counted towards the last missed noon prayer.
After that, the sunnat of two rak’ahs is to be performed. It is intended as “I have intended for the sunnah of the time for the sake of Allah”. If the Friday is not sahîh, this ten rak’ah becomes the noon prayer. After that, the Ayet-el-kursi and the rosaries are to be read and prayed.
The first sunnah of 4 rakats of Friday, 2 rakats of Friday’s fard, the last sunnah of 4 rakats of Friday, the end of 4 rakats of Zuhri, the last sunnah of 2 rakats of time are the number of rakats for Friday prayer. The sunnah of the 4 rakat zuhr-i-ehir prayer and the sunnah of the 2 rakat time are also voluntary prayers.
In conclusion, proper performance of the Friday prayer is important as it is one of the most important prayers in Islam. The information provided on Diyanet TV will be useful for those who want to pray accurately and confidently.
