TMT Mujahideen Association Mourns the Death of Halil Pasha, Funeral Ceremony Wednesday

Cyprus TMT Mujahideen Association President Celal Bayar has published a message announcing the death of their former president, Halil Pasha, and has stated that a commemoration ceremony will be held in his honor on Wednesday. The ceremony is set to take place at the Mujahideen Site and later in front of the Republic Assembly.

In his message, Bayar expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Halil Pasha, describing him as a “very valuable Resistance-Mujahid Commander” and a “silent hero”. He praised Pasha’s successful and top-secret services as the head of the team that conducted multi-faceted and in-depth work as Branch II and intelligence officer of the Nicosia Sanjak. Bayar also highlighted the effectiveness of the intelligence reports prepared by Pasha, particularly in the Happy Peace Operation of July 20, 1974. Following the Peace Operation, Pasha went on to serve as the Head of the GKK Intelligence Group.

As per Pasha’s will, a commemoration ceremony will be held on January 24, 2024, with a moment of silence at the Mucahitler Sitesi, where he served as president of the association for a long time. Later, a respectful commemoration will take place in front of the TRNC Assembly due to his membership in the Constituent Assembly, and he will be sent off on his final journey with a military ceremony following the noon prayer at the Ismail Safa Mosque.

Bayar concluded his message by expressing his condolences to Pasha’s relatives, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his comrades in arms and loved ones, and prayed for God to have mercy on him abundantly and grant him a place in heaven.
