Today’s Meeting of the Supreme Military Council
The High Military Council (YAŞ) meeting will be held at the Presidential Complex and attended by top government officials and military leaders. Among those present will be Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, and other key military personnel.
Prior to the meeting, YAŞ members will visit Anıtkabir under the guidance of President Erdoğan. The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the promotions and tenure extensions of colonels, as well as the promotion and appointment files of generals and admirals.
