“Togg Surprise Unveiled at Istanbul Rally for Hüseyin Bayraktar”
Hüseyin Bayraktar, an 85-year-old man who attended the Great Istanbul Meeting organized by the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in recent days, gained attention when President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a video call to him after the rally. Bahçelievler Mayor Hakan Bahadır visited Bayraktar and even took him for a ride in the municipality’s local car TOGG. Bayraktar was the first citizen to experience the TOGG in Bahçelievler.
Bahadır shared his plans to introduce Bayraktar to the President on Friday. Bayraktar himself commented on his experience and shared, “The escalator was not working, so I walked up the stairs too. I took the subway from here. Later, while I was going to the rally, a young man took my arm. 1 million 800 thousand people attended the rally. I could not see our president at the rally, but I listened. The President called me on the phone.”
Bayraktar also expressed his admiration for the TOGG car, stating, “The car is very nice. I hope God will do better. I previously worked for a car company. I hope it will be better. Türkiye tried to produce cars before, but they did not. Let alone the car, they did not make the plane.”
