
Topçuköy Martyrs Commemoration Ceremony Set for Monday

Nine Turkish Cypriots from Topçuköy who sacrificed their lives during the national struggle and the 1974 Peace Operation will be honored on Monday, July 22.
The İskele District Governorship announced that a ceremony will take place at the Topçuköy Martyrs’ Memorial starting at 18:30. Wreaths will be laid at the monument in accordance with protocol.
The event will include a moment of silence, a salute firing, the national anthem, flag-raising, speeches, and poetry readings to commemorate the fallen heroes. The ceremony will conclude with a prayer for the martyrs.
It is a time for the community to come together and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Let us remember and honor the bravery and dedication of these nine individuals from Topçuköy.
