Töre Attends American University of Cyprus Graduation Ceremony
President of the Republic Assembly Zorlu Töre recently attended the graduation ceremony organized by the American University of Cyprus, where he delivered a powerful speech addressing various issues.
During his speech, Töre emphasized the significant value of universities operating in TRNC and expressed his commitment to participating in all university activities. He also touched upon the presence of an imperialist and colonial order in the world, drawing attention to the recent events in Gaza.
Töre expressed his concerns over the lack of value assigned to the people in Gaza by certain circles, labeling it as incompatible with humanity. He urged students to be well-informed about non-humanist structures and the larger games being played.
Furthermore, Töre highlighted the importance of the 20 July Happy Peace Operation in ensuring the peace and security of Turkish Cypriots. He pointed out that despite the United Nations issuing binding decisions for some countries, the Turkish Cypriots have often been ignored.
In a resolute statement, Töre emphasized the unity of TRNC, stating that there is no alternative republic for the Turkish Cypriots. As a gesture of recognition, Töre presented the diploma to the student who graduated with first place from the university.
The presence of President Töre at the graduation ceremony underscored the government’s support for education and commitment to advocating for the rights and recognition of the Turkish Cypriot community.
