Töre Attends Gala Ceremony for “Cyprus Gems” Short Films – BRTK
The Assembly of the Republic, in collaboration with Zorlu Töre, the Turkish Cypriot Women’s Entrepreneurs Association, and Telsim, recently attended the premiere ceremony of short films introducing the “Cyprus Gems” in various regions of Cyprus.
The event took place at the Acapulco Resort Hotel, where President Töre gave a moving speech emphasizing the importance of women’s labor and the sanctity of motherhood. She shared personal memories of her own mother and highlighted the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, where thousands of women and children are being massacred.
Töre expressed concern over the silence of certain circles in the face of such barbarity and called for global solidarity in condemning such acts of violence. She urged the audience to appreciate the value of their motherland and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Congratulating the event organizers, Töre praised the effort put into creating the short films and expressed confidence in their impactful messages. The premiere ceremony aimed to raise awareness about the cultural and natural treasures of Cyprus, showcasing the beauty and diversity of the region to a wider audience.
