Töre Encourages Azerbaijani Business Investment in TRNC
President of the Assembly of the Republic, Zorlu Töre, recently attended a dinner in his honor hosted by the Azerbaijan Businessmen’s Association during his visit to Baku. The event was also attended by key figures such as Azerbaijan – TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Cavanşir Feyziyev, UBP Deputy İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, TRNC Baku Representative Ambassador Ufuk Arca Turganer, Republic Assembly Private Secretary İrem Uygun, and Turkish Cypriot Businessmen’s Association (İŞAD) Azerbaijani representative İlhami Bilgen.
Both Tural Mustafayev, President of the Azerbaijan Businessmen’s Association, and İlhami Bilgen, İŞAD Azerbaijan representative, expressed their pleasure at hosting President Töre in Baku. President Töre, in his address, highlighted the strong ties between Azerbaijan and TRNC, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation. He also mentioned the support they have received from Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev towards becoming full members of the Organization of Turkic States.
Chairman Feyziyev of the Azerbaijan – TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group shared details about their efforts to garner international recognition for TRNC and invited businessmen to consider investing in the region. UBP Deputy Altuğra acknowledged the ongoing Cyprus issue and expressed confidence in resolving it with the support of Turkey. Ambassador Turganer, TRNC’s Representative in Baku, emphasized the positive momentum between the two countries and called for further collaboration.
Overall, the dinner was a symbol of the strong bond and mutual support between Azerbaijan and TRNC, paving the way for potential investments and fruitful cooperation in the future. President Töre also extended an invitation to Azerbaijani business owners to explore opportunities for investment in TRNC, highlighting the country’s stability and potential for growth.
