Töre pays courtesy visit to Ambassador Serim
President Zorlu Töre of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus recently met with Ambassador Yasin Ekrem Serim at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia. During their meeting, President Töre praised Ambassador Serim’s approachable personality and expressed his commitment to working together to enhance the TRNC.
Ambassador Serim, in turn, welcomed President Töre to the embassy and highlighted his efforts to engage with all segments of society since assuming his role. He wished President Töre success in the upcoming legislative year, emphasizing the significant contributions that can be made to the TRNC’s infrastructure and superstructure.
President Töre reaffirmed his dedication to the national cause, echoing the sentiment that “the world is bigger than five”, symbolizing Turkey and its powerful military. He emphasized the importance of Turkey’s presence in Cyprus and the unity between the TRNC and the Motherland in defending their shared interests.
Expressing gratitude towards Turkey, President Töre underscored the strong bond between the two nations, both spiritually and practically. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining the Turkish army’s presence in Cyprus for the safeguarding of their national cause.
As a token of appreciation, President Töre presented gifts to Ambassador Serim following their discussions. The meeting between the two officials signifies a continuing partnership aimed at strengthening the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and its relationship with Turkey.
