Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Supports Palestine’s Struggle for Independence
Acting President and President of the Assembly of the Republic, Zorlu Töre, has expressed the support of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for Palestine’s struggle for life, existence, and independence. In a statement, Töre condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks and emphasized the need for action to end the occupation of Palestinian lands.
Töre highlighted the long-standing genocide and human rights violations experienced by the Palestinian people. He criticized the United Nations for its failure to prevent the tragedy and the continuous increase in the occupation of Palestine. He also expressed disappointment with the European Union, which only condemns the murder of civilians but fails to take decisive action against such violations.
The blockade in Gaza was another pressing issue that Töre addressed. He called for its immediate lifting and emphasized the importance of humanitarian aid reaching the region through the United Nations and other countries.
Töre, on behalf of the State and people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, declared their support for Palestine’s struggle for life, existence, and independence. He appealed to the international community, especially the United Nations, to prioritize human rights in action rather than mere words, with the aim of ending the occupation and genocide. Töre expressed deep sorrow for the loss of lives and condemned those who continue to support Israel.
The statement by Zorlu Töre reflects the solidarity of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with Palestine and its commitment to advocating for their rights and aspirations.
