Istanbul experienced heavy rainfall throughout the night following warnings from the General Directorate of Meteorology. The downpour affected many districts, catching citizens off guard and causing flooding in various areas.
In Beşiktaş and Beyoğlu, where the rain was particularly heavy, many workplaces were flooded. Puddles formed on Beyoğlu Piyalepaşa Boulevard, making it difficult for drivers to navigate the roads.
The basements of two warehouses on Beşiktaş Barbaros Boulevard were also flooded as a result of the heavy rain. Firefighters responded to the situation promptly, arriving at the scene to evacuate the water from the basements of the buildings.
