Mayor Halisdemir of Çukurkuyu town in Niğde has taken a strong stance against those who damage public property. In a statement on his social media account, Mayor Halisdemir condemned the actions of individuals who vandalize garbage containers in the town. He emphasized that public property belongs to all citizens and should be respected.
To encourage residents to report any instances of public property damage, Mayor Halisdemir announced that a reward of 50 thousand pounds will be given to those who provide information leading to the identification of the perpetrators. He highlighted the importance of protecting and preserving public goods that serve the community.
“Those who engage in acts of vandalism against public property are betraying their country,” Mayor Halisdemir stated. He called on all citizens to take responsibility for safeguarding the resources and infrastructure that belong to the state and benefit the entire population.
