Traffic in Istanbul Restricted due to Road Closures
Traffic disruptions are expected in Istanbul due to two different events taking place in the city.
As of 09.00, several streets including Macarkardeşler, 15 July Şehitler, Şehzadebaşı, and Vezneciler Avenues have been closed to vehicle traffic in preparation for a rally. Alternative routes such as Vatan, Kadirhas, Fevzipaşa Avenues, and Atatürk Boulevard are advised for motorists to use during this time.
Furthermore, tomorrow’s march in Ataşehir in honor of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth, and Sports Day will also cause traffic disruptions. Starting from 07.30, several intersections along Ataşehir Boulevard will be closed to traffic. Alternative routes such as Sedef Street have been suggested for drivers to navigate around the closed intersections.
It is recommended for motorists in Istanbul to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time due to these temporary road closures.
