Tragic Car Accident Claims Lives of Four Young People in Ankara
A devastating car accident occurred in the Kestel district of Ankara, resulting in the loss of four young lives. The vehicle, driven by Adem Duran, crashed into the iron railings and then a concrete lighting pole in the Barakfakih Organized Industrial Zone on Ankara Yolu Caddesi.
Due to the force of the impact, the car was severely wrecked, leaving the driver, Adem Duran, as well as Sinan Karakuş, Eda Nur Baykay, and Sıla Çelik trapped inside the vehicle. The incident quickly garnered attention, prompting the dispatch of fire brigade, 112 Emergency Health, and police teams to the scene.
Tragically, despite the efforts to rescue the victims, Eda Nur Baykay, who happened to be celebrating her birthday that day, did not survive the accident. The young people, Karakuş, Baykay, and Çelik, who were extricated from the wreckage by the fire brigade, were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Adem Duran sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to Kestel State Hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were subsequently taken to the morgue at the Forensic Medicine Institute. It was revealed that Eda Nur Baykay, whose life was tragically cut short in this accident, had been out celebrating her birthday with friends prior to the incident.
