Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Groom and His Cousin
Tragedy Strikes as Marriages Turn Deadly: Groom and Cousin Killed in Family Fight
A joyous occasion turned into a nightmare as a fight between a husband and wife escalated to deadly proportions. The incident took place on the 6th floor of Genç İpekçi Apartment on Aziz Mahmutoğulları Street in the central Yenişehir district. The families of the bride and groom were called to the scene after violence erupted.
According to reports, the groom Mehmet Ali Baran (29) and his cousin Vedat Baran (39) were shot at by relatives from the bride’s side. The newlyweds, who had been married for just 4 months, tragically lost their lives in the altercation. Another individual, identified as A.B., was injured during the incident.
Upon receiving the distress call, police and medical teams rushed to the location. Medical professionals at the scene confirmed the deaths of the groom and his cousin, while providing necessary treatment to the injured party.
The suspects involved in the shooting, identified as the daughter-in-law EB, mother-in-law R.Ş., and brother-in-law A.Ş., attempted to flee but one of them was apprehended. Efforts are currently underway to locate and capture the remaining fugitive, identified as Ö.B.Ş.
Following an examination by the prosecutor’s office, the bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Morgue. The tragic incident has left the groom’s relatives in a state of shock and mourning.
