Tragic Accident in Ağrı: Digger Falls 60 Meters from Cliff, 1 Dead and 2 Missing
The Special Provincial Administration has sprung into action in response to a citizen’s report of lost sheep following a heavy snowfall and blizzard in the Taşlıçay district of Ağrı. The search effort, which involved three citizens and a digger operator, prompted the dispatch of AFAD and gendarmerie teams to the scene upon receiving news that the digger had fallen from a 60-meter cliff.
The digger operator, identified as N. Ş., immediately initiated efforts to rescue citizens MT, RA, and YT, while also reporting that one person had tragically passed away, two individuals were still missing, and the digger operator had been hospitalized.
The swift response and collaborative efforts of all involved parties are commendable during this challenging and critical situation.
