A tragic fire erupted around 8 PM on Aktepe Street in the Zühtüpaşa District, igniting on the first floor of a ten-story apartment building. Concerned residents reported the rising smoke to the 112 Emergency Call Center, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
Firefighters, along with police and medical teams, quickly arrived at the scene. Thanks to their focused efforts, the fire was contained and extinguished without spreading to adjacent apartments. However, a resident, identified as Süha Oguzertem, was found severely injured after the incident. He lived alone in the affected unit and was transported to the hospital following initial emergency care.
Despite all possible medical interventions, Oguzertem succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Authorities have since launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, as the community grapples with the loss of life and the impact of this unfortunate event.
