Tragic Building Collapse in Fatih: 4th Floor Plunges into Neighbor’s Home

Floor Collapse in Fatih: Woman Falls from 4th Floor to 3rd Floor
A terrifying incident occurred in a 4-storey building in Fatih, Istanbul, where the floor of the 4th floor collapsed, causing a woman to fall to the 3rd floor. The building, which was constructed approximately 50 years ago, experienced a sudden collapse, leading to chaos and evacuation.
The incident took place on Alişan Street in Nişanca District at around 20:40. The loud noise of the collapsing floor caught the attention of the residents, who immediately called the authorities. Eda Maden, who was on the 4th floor at the time, fell through the collapsing floor and landed on the 3rd floor. Fortunately, she only sustained minor injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police, health teams, and fire brigade worked together to assess the situation. The building, along with two adjacent buildings, had to be evacuated for safety reasons. Engineers and inspectors were called to examine the structural integrity of the buildings to prevent any further accidents.
The images of the collapsed floor and the damaged building serve as a reminder of the importance of regular maintenance and inspections of older buildings to ensure the safety of residents. Our thoughts are with Eda Maden for a speedy recovery, and we hope that such incidents can be prevented in the future through proper precautions and measures.
