A tragic accident occurred this morning near the Kuskunkuran Tunnel on the Van-Bitlis highway. Reports indicate that a passenger bus and a truck collided for reasons that are still unknown.
Upon receiving the distressing news, multiple ambulances, AFAD, and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, the accident resulted in the death of the bus driver and one passenger. Additionally, 30 individuals sustained injuries, with 4 of them being in critical condition.
An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched. The injured individuals have been swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
