Tragic Death of 5-Year-Old in Second Narin Abuse Case, Governorship Reveals

İYİ Party Balıkesir Deputy and Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez has brought attention to a disturbing case of alleged sexual abuse involving a 5-year-old child in Şanlıurfa’s Harran district. In a recent social media post, Çömez shared documents detailing the tragic incident, stating that despite efforts in the emergency room, the child could not be saved.
Claiming that all necessary steps were taken to address the situation, Çömez emphasized the importance of proper forensic investigation to identify the perpetrators. He called on relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Justice, Family and Social Services, and the Ministry of Health, to take immediate action in response to the case.
In response to the allegations, the Şanlıurfa Governorship issued a statement confirming the death of the child named MNB on January 15, 2025. The Governorship assured that judicial proceedings had been initiated to determine the cause of death, with ongoing investigation by the Şanlıurfa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
